ROLE OF BIOSTATISTICS IN CLINICAL TRIALS FOR NUTRITIONAL INTERVENTION
Abstract
In this article, we will discuss the applications of biostatistics in clinical trials and nutritional intervention. Its role in modeling nutrient effects on health outcomes, randomized controlled trials in nutrition research, and investigating nutrient gene interaction. Biostatistics contributes to the design of clinical trials and analysis of data. Biostatistics also tells us about the relationship between dietary patterns and health outcomes. It undergoes meta-analysis of nutrition intervention studies. It also investigates nutrient-environment interaction. It also evaluates the cost-effectiveness of nutritional intervention. The role of biostatistics in nutritional intervention is emerging day by day. It provides us with evidence-based contributions in clinical trials and nutritional intervention.
