Concerning the effects of climate change, depletion of resources, and population growth, new approaches are needed to ensure sustainable food security. AI is emerging as a revolutionary technology in several industries, including agriculture. Its effect on the food chain raises the possibility of drastic modifications. To bridge technology, humans, and the environment and move toward sustainable food systems, designers must consider the impact of AI. By enhancing transparency and traceability, the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in food supply chains (FSC) can effectively tackle the distinct obstacles associated with food safety, quality, and waste. Machine learning, robotics, remote sensing, and data analytics are just a few of the AI-powered technologies being used to improve agricultural productivity, maximize resource use, and lessen environmental effects. AI-driven methods are also making it easier to develop smart food supply chains, personalized nutrition plans, and precision agriculture, increasing food availability, affordability, and nutritional value.
